DESCRIPTION:Join the NUAS Communications group´s  webinar “Media Darlings and Scapegoats – when our researchers go public” on the 25th of May at 14:00 CET.\nThe webinar is moderated by Odd Vegard Kandall-Wright\, senior adviser at the Communication Division\, University of Bergen and member of the NUAS Communication planning group.\nThe webinar is free for all NUAS members\, but you must register for the event here. You will recieve the link to the webinar the day before the event. \nMeet three Nordic researchers with each their experiences from going public as experts in the press. One became a media expert overnight\, one experiences very rough and harassing reactions when communicating her research on climate change\, one has made herself very available to the media and on a regular basis writes for the regional newspaper. Hear them tell about their experiences and let us discuss\, how we as Communications Officers best support them in their efforts. \n \nKatrine Stevnhøj\, PhD Fellow\, Department for Cross-Cultural and Regional Studies (ToRS) at University of Copenhagen\nKatrine Stevnhøj is researching transnational political mobilization and activism in Belarus and Russia. When Russia invaded Ukraine she became a media expert overnight. Katrine Stevnhøj will share her experience on entering this role and give an insight in the challenges\, her motivation and what has been an eye opener in the collaboration with journalists. Kikki Kleiven will share some of her experiences – as an expert on climate and about the harassment she receives as a result of speaking out about climate change in the media. She is also a contributor to the cultural pages in the daily newspaper Sydsvenskan\, where she mainly writes about human rights in healthcare in a broad sense.
